A sign in a parking lot in front of a station stated "XX yen for XX minutes, maximum 600 yen for one day." I parked for three days, thinking it would be 1,800 yen for three days, and was charged approximately 12,000 yen. I immediately contacted the operator, but was told that the maximum fee would apply only once and that after that I would be charged by the hour. Coin When using a parking lot, check not only the large sign such as "Maximum ¥0.00 per day" but also other detailed conditions before entering the parking lot.
Rates often have detailed conditions such as the number of times the maximum rate is applied, the parking location, and the time of day, and may differ depending on whether it is a weekday or holiday, or there may be special rates during the year-end and New Year holidays or when events are held. Even if you are accustomed to using coin parking, the rate settings may have changed, so look at the detailed information near the entrance or the payment machine, and check with the coin parking operator if you have any questions.
